Overview
- Construction began at the 22‑acre Matunga railway site on Monday when Pranav Adani performed a Bhoomi Poojan to formally start the Matunga phase.
- The plan calls for 10 towers of 37–39 storeys delivering 10,432 rehabilitation apartments of 350 square feet each and 1,379 commercial and industrial units.
- ANDPL, the Adani‑government special purpose vehicle, published a phased handover schedule with five towers due by March 2029, two by August 2029, and the final three by August 2030.
- The developer has pledged to maintain buildings and common infrastructure for the first 10 years after handover and will reserve 10% of commercial space to fund upkeep.
- The Matunga phase is presented as a mixed‑use township designed with international and local firms to provide schools, clinics, shops and transport links as part of a long‑running effort to replace informal housing in Dharavi.
