- Maingau Autostrom will roll out a unified tariff at 650,000 charging points across Europe from August 13, setting a standard AC rate of 0.62 €/kWh and a reduced 0.52 €/kWh rate for electricity and gas customers
- Under Maingau’s new model, DC charging will be split into three tiers—a low rate of 0.62 €/kWh, a standard rate of 0.72 €/kWh and a high rate of 0.82 €/kWh—with a ten-cent discount on the low and standard tiers for advantage customers
- Maingau will update its terms and conditions on September 15 to embed in-app rate visibility and introduce credit checks for new customers
- These tariff changes aim to cut consumer costs, address confusion over hidden fees and comply with EU rules requiring transparent, real-time display of charging rates
