Overview
- Acura will display the one-off NSX Roadster at The Quail during Monterey Car Week and start accepting hand raisers from prospective bidders on August 15.
- The Avengers film car was built by Trans FX and Acura Design Studio on a 1991 NSX donor with 252,000 miles, featuring a handcrafted resin and fiberglass body, a 2-inch suspension drop, 18-inch wheels and a five-speed manual transmission.
- Structural modifications for the open-top design compromise rigidity and restrict safe speeds to around 20 mph, positioning the vehicle as a showpiece rather than a regular street car.
- The roadster is slated for auction in 2026 with all proceeds earmarked for an undisclosed charity.
- The showcase is part of Acura’s NSX 35th anniversary program, which also features a 1995 NSX-R, a 1999 Zanardi Edition and the RSX prototype.
