Acura RSX Announced as First In-House EV on Honda’s New Platform

The 2026 Acura RSX will debut Honda's proprietary Asimo OS and be produced at the new Ohio EV plant.

The Acura RSX, set to launch in early 2026, will be Honda's first fully in-house electric vehicle, departing from prior collaborations with General Motors.
The RSX will feature Honda's new Asimo operating system, designed for updatable, software-defined vehicle functionality, including infotainment and potential automated driving features.
Production of the RSX will begin in late 2025 at Honda's $4.4 billion EV hub in Marysville, Ohio, developed in partnership with LG Chem.
The RSX is a coupe-style SUV inspired by the Acura Performance EV Concept, featuring a fastback roofline, flush door handles, and a sleek, modern design.
Honda plans to equip the RSX and future EVs with the North American Charging Standard port, ensuring compatibility with Tesla Superchargers starting in 2025.
