Actor Ryan O’Neal Dies at 82, Buried Next to Longtime Lover Farrah Fawcett

O’Neal, known for roles in 'Love Story' and 'Paper Moon', died of congestive heart failure after a long battle with cardiomyopathy.

Ryan O’Neal, the Oscar-nominated actor known for his roles in 'Love Story' and 'Paper Moon', died on December 8, 2023, at the age of 82 due to congestive heart failure after suffering from cardiomyopathy for years.
He was buried next to his longtime lover, Farrah Fawcett, at the Westwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles.
The burial service was attended by around 25 guests, including O’Neal’s son Patrick, ex-wife Leigh Taylor-Young, and Fawcett's best friend Alana Stewart.
O’Neal had a history of health issues, including diagnoses of chronic leukemia in 2001 and prostate cancer in 2012.
His death was announced by his son Patrick O’Neal on Instagram, who described his father as his hero and a Hollywood legend.
