Actor Julian Sands Remains Missing, Presumed Dead After Months-Long Search

Actor Julian Sands was reported missing in January after setting out to hike on Mount Baldy.
A weekend search for Sands on Mount Baldy was conducted by more than 80 search-and-rescue volunteers and deputies, two helicopters and drone crews, but was unsuccessful.
Portions of the mountain remain inaccessible due to extreme alpine conditions, including steep terrain and ravines with 10-plus feet of ice and snow.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has conducted eight searches for Sands since January, and there have been eight other unrelated search-and-rescue operations in the Mount Baldy area.
Julian Sands' family released a statement describing him as a wonderful father, husband, explorer, lover of the natural world and the arts, and as an original and collaborative performer.
