Former child actor Adam Wylie was arrested on October 13, 2023, for shoplifting at a Target store in Burbank, California. He was caught at the self-checkout not scanning all the health and beauty items in his cart.
Wylie was apprehended by Target security outside the store after failing to scan items amounting to $108.05. Burbank Police issued him a citation for petty theft and he was subsequently released.
The items he allegedly attempted to steal included beauty products and clothing. The police were informed about the incident by the retail store's loss prevention officers.
Following his release, Target loss prevention officers signed a citizen’s arrest form and advised the police that they wanted Wylie to be prosecuted.
Adam Wylie, now 39, started his acting career as a child with notable roles in the '90s TV show Picket Fences, the Disney Channel Original movie Under Wraps, and the WB series Gilmore Girls.
In addition to his acting career, Wylie also gained popularity as a magician with a large following of over a million on TikTok.
