Overview

  • Operators, operator skins, and weapons from Black Ops 6 will not transfer to Black Ops 7, reversing a plan announced only a week earlier.
  • Warzone is unaffected and all Black Ops 6 content remains usable there, while Double XP tokens and Zombies GobbleGums will still carry over to BO7.
  • Treyarch and Raven describe BO7 as a spiritual successor to Black Ops 2 and say future bundles will be crafted to fit the Black Ops identity.
  • Activision cites player feedback that Call of Duty has drifted from a grounded feel, a concern widely tied to crossover and cartoonish skins.
  • More details are due at Call of Duty Next on September 30 with an October beta, ahead of the November 14, 2025 launch on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
