Overview
- Activision announced Thursday that Warzone will get an Operator Skin toggle and the return of Carry Forward with the Season 1 launch tied to Modern Warfare 4.
- The Operator Skin toggle is a client-side Warzone setting that replaces other players' legacy skins with MW4 operators on your screen, will be off by default, and does not change the operator you have equipped.
- Carry Forward will preserve operators, weapons, skins, camos and blueprints from recent Call of Duty titles in a new Legacy tab inside Warzone’s Loadout menu.
- Legacy weapons will not support custom loadouts; players will get a five-attachment version of each legacy weapon plus a blueprint that preserves existing attachment setups.
- The features arrive with MW4 Season 1 (the MW4 base release window is Oct. 23, 2026) and come as Raven Software commits to continuing biweekly weapon balance, while the toggle’s effect on Warzone’s look depends on the future design of MW4 cosmetics.
