Overview

• A gunman armed with an AR-15–style rifle opened fire in the lobby and upper floors of 345 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan at around 6:30 p.m., prompting a massive NYPD lockdown.
• The suspect was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on the 33rd floor after barricading himself inside the high-rise.
