Overview
- Acer unveiled the relaunched Packard Bell at IFA 2026 with a new dot-based logo, a plainspoken “Tech it easy” tone, and a first-wave product family anchored by the 14.5-inch DotBook.
- Design press reports describe the DotBook as a lightweight everyday laptop—under 1.3 kg, 17.9 mm thin, running Windows 11 with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage—but those specs are reported and may change before retail.
- The initial Packard Bell collection includes colourful audio, peripherals, a feature phone, a turntable and a Steasy-branded connected mini-steamer, and Acer says the line will reach European stores from Q4 2026.
- Packard Bell will operate inside Acer Group’s infrastructure, using Acer’s logistics, EMEA service centres and multilingual customer support across 28 countries to handle sales and aftercare.
- The relaunch leans on Packard Bell’s century-old consumer focus to offer lower-cost, design-forward alternatives to performance-first PCs, with reported starter prices (DotBook ~€499) labeled as preliminary and likely to be finalised before launch.
