Accused Murder Plotter Lindsay Shiver Allowed to Return to US for Holidays

Former beauty queen, charged with planning to kill ex-NFL player husband, must wear ankle monitor and avoid Georgia, with trial set for March.

  • Lindsay Shiver, a former beauty queen, has been allowed to return to the US from the Bahamas to spend the holidays with her family, despite being charged with plotting to murder her ex-husband, Robert Shiver, a former NFL player.
  • Shiver, who is currently out on bail, must wear an ankle monitor and is barred from entering Georgia, where Robert resides, except for attending divorce and custody hearings.
  • Shiver, her lover Terrance Bethel, and the alleged hitman Faron Newbold Jr., were arrested in July in the Bahamas and have pleaded not guilty to all charges.
  • The alleged murder-for-hire plot came to light during a contentious divorce between Lindsay and Robert, with both parties seeking primary custody of their children and sole use of their $2.5 million home in Georgia.
  • Lindsay's trial is scheduled to start in March.
