Acclaimed 'The Archers' Actor Ian Pepperell Dies

British actor Ian Pepperell, known for his role as Roy Tucker in The Archers, has died at the age of 53 following a long illness.
Pepperell's portrayal of Roy Tucker was praised for its depth and complexity, capturing the character as both genial and anxious, funny and sad.
In addition to his work on The Archers, Pepperell also appeared in the TV soap EastEnders and numerous stage productions.
Jeremy Howe, editor of The Archers, described Pepperell as the 'perfect Archers actor' and expressed that his death is a tragic loss.
Pepperell also ran a pub called The Star Inn in Ringwood, UK with his wife Nikki.
