The case now moves to the Karimnagar special ACB court following an Adilabad Range sting.

Overview

  • N. Bala Krishna Varma, a mandal surveyor attached to the Nirmal (R) Tahsildar’s office, was arrested for demanding and accepting a bribe linked to land demarcation and a panchanama.
  • ACB officials said he first sought ₹15,000, took ₹5,000 as part payment, then settled at ₹7,500 after the complainant’s request.
  • The amount was collected through a private assistant, Pola Nagaraju, and the tainted cash was recovered from his possession at the instance of the surveyor.
