ABVP Leads JNU Student Elections as Vote Counting Nears Completion

ABVP's Shikha Swaraj leads the presidential race with 756 votes, surpassing AISA-DSF's Nitish Kumar, who has 579 votes.
Nittu Gautam, Kunal Rai, and Vaibhav Meena of ABVP are leading for Vice-President, General Secretary, and Joint Secretary, respectively.
The party has already won 23 out of 42 councillor seats across various schools and centres, including a clean sweep in the School of Engineering.
Approximately 70% of eligible students participated in the elections, with around 5,500 of 7,906 casting their votes.
Vote counting began on April 27 and is expected to conclude later in the evening, with final results for the central panel awaited.
