ABP, ScottishPower Renewables Seal Long-Term Lowestoft O&M Deal for East Anglia Wind

The pact leverages ABP’s £35 million LEEF to concentrate maintenance activity in Lowestoft.

Overview

  • ScottishPower Renewables will base service operations vessels and crew transfer vessels at the Lowestoft Eastern Energy Facility under a long-term agreement with ABP.
  • LEEF, opened in January 2025 after a £35 million upgrade, offers deep-water berths and infrastructure ready for shore power and alternative fuels.
  • SPR is committing over £8 million to expand its Lowestoft PowerPark footprint, including a new East Anglia Three O&M base sized for around 100 people.
  • East Anglia Three, a 1.4 GW project now in offshore construction, targets initial operation in the fourth quarter of 2026, while East Anglia Two plans a 2026/2027 construction start after AR6 CfD selection.
  • Local and national officials say anchoring O&M in Lowestoft will support jobs, regional investment and the UK’s energy security.
