The intruders broke a large window in her backyard to gain entry but fled shortly after, possibly due to the alarm or noises from inside the house.
Ratchford was upstairs watching a movie during the incident and did not come face-to-face with the intruders.
The incident was captured on surveillance video and is currently being investigated by the police.
This incident is part of a recent wave of home invasions in Los Angeles, including a similar incident at actor Keanu Reeves' home last month.
