Overview
- The 96th annual Bud Billiken Parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at 39th Street and Martin Luther King Drive and proceeds south through Washington Park to Garfield Boulevard.
- ABC7 Chicago will broadcast a two-hour special from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on its flagship channel.
- ABC7’s connected TV apps on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV and Roku will also exclusively stream the parade live.
- Attracting more than one million spectators each year, the parade celebrates African American heritage and marks the start of the school year.
- Chicago’s Office of Emergency Management along with police and fire departments will coordinate on-site safety resources along the parade route.
