AB InBev Becomes First-Ever Beer Sponsor of the Olympic Games

Non-alcoholic Corona Cero to be Official Beer of 2026 Summer Olympics, Amid Company's Efforts to Boost Sales and Recover from Backlash

  • AB InBev, the world's largest brewing company, has become the first-ever beer sponsor of the Olympic Games, with its non-alcoholic Corona Cero named as the official beer of the 2026 Summer Olympics in Paris.
  • The sponsorship will extend through the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
  • The partnership comes as AB InBev seeks to boost sales amid a shift away from alcoholic beer and backlash from a controversial partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney in 2023.
  • AB InBev's Michelob Ultra will be the Team USA sponsor for the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris later this year, as well as for the 2026 Winter Games in Italy and the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.
  • Despite the controversy and backlash, AB InBev recently signed a deal reportedly worth $100 million to be the UFC’s primary beer sponsor, starting in 2024.
