Overview
- Aasif Khan was announced as the second confirmed contestant on Bigg Boss 20 on Sunday as the Salman Khan‑hosted show prepared for its grand premiere.
- He is best known for supporting streaming roles including Ganesh ('Damaad Ji') in Panchayat and Babar in Mirzapur, with the Panchayat line 'Gajab beizzati hai yaar' boosting his recognisability.
- Khan comes from Nimbahera in Rajasthan and took on family responsibilities after his father Ayyub Khan died in 2008, a background that preceded several years in theatre and years of odd jobs in Mumbai.
- Before his OTT breakthrough he worked as a junior artist and with a casting agency after returning to Mumbai in 2016, and he continued to take film roles such as the 2025 horror‑comedy The Bhootnii.
- His Bigg Boss entry places a familiar character actor onto a high‑visibility reality platform that typically expands mainstream recognition and could change the kinds of projects and public attention he receives.
