Overview
- Boston police charged Aaron Tucker with assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and with assault and battery on a person 60 or older or disabled.
- The altercation occurred Saturday around 3:07 p.m. at TD Garden, where officers found the victim semi-conscious in Club Section 113 with a head injury.
- The man was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital; police and local reports said his injuries were serious but not life-threatening, and he told EMS he had been drinking and did not remember the incident.
- Witnesses told police the victim appeared intoxicated, was heckling Rangers fans, and at one point put his middle finger in the face of the woman with the suspect before the shove on the stairs.
- TD Garden and city cameras tracked the suspect’s exit onto Causeway Street and to the Endicott Street–Lafayette Avenue area, where officers arrested Tucker without incident and booked him at Nashua Street Jail; arraignment in Boston Municipal Court is expected today.
