Overview

  • Kerr admitted two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, affray, assault, possession of a bladed article and breaching a community order before receiving a 24-month sentence at Liverpool Crown Court.
  • During a March 27 incident at the Stork Hotel, he set off fire extinguishers, threatened staff and police officers with scissors and repeatedly punched a customer to the ground.
  • On May 17 at the Coach and Horses pub in Moreton, Kerr threw a metal ashtray at Natasha Harvey’s head, leaving her with a three- to four-centimetre wound.
  • He had been on a community order for brandishing a Stanley knife in a Birkenhead pub in 2024 but breached it by committing five further offences.
  • His defence counsel attributed his violent behaviour to alcohol abuse and requested a period of abstinence, a point emphasised by the judge in calling for sobriety during Kerr’s prison term.
