AAP Shuffles Key Candidates for 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections

Manish Sisodia moves from Patparganj to Jangpura as AAP fields UPSC educator Avadh Ojha in its second candidate list.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its second list of 20 candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, scheduled for early 2025.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, previously representing Patparganj, will now contest from Jangpura, a seat held by AAP since 2013.
Renowned UPSC coach Avadh Ojha, who joined AAP earlier this month, has been fielded from Patparganj, a constituency considered a party stronghold.
AAP has replaced nearly 50% of its sitting MLAs, with 13 dropped in the second list, citing efforts to counter anti-incumbency and refresh its lineup.
The BJP criticized AAP's candidate changes, calling it a response to governance issues and corruption allegations, while predicting further shifts in key constituencies.
