A$AP Rocky to Stand Trial on Assault Charges

Judge Rules Sufficient Evidence for Trial Following Alleged Shooting Incident

A$AP Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, has been ordered to stand trial on two felony counts of assault with a semi-automatic weapon.
The charges stem from an incident in November 2021, where Rocky is accused of pointing a gun at former friend and hip-hop artist, Terell Ephron, and firing twice in his direction.
Rocky was arrested in April 2022 upon his arrival at Los Angeles International Airport from Barbados.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge ML Villar ruled that prosecutors had sufficient evidence to proceed to trial.
Rocky has pleaded not guilty and his lawyer, Joe Tacopina, argued that the prosecution failed to present sufficient proof that a shooting had occurred.
