- A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, stemming from an incident involving his former friend and plaintiff, A$AP Relli, in 2021.
- Rocky's defense attorney, Joe Tacopina, has stated that Rocky is 'cool as a cucumber' ahead of trial and is eager to get the trial over with so he can start enjoying his family. Rocky shares two sons with pop superstar Rihanna.
- During a hearing in November, new surveillance video was unveiled, which included two loud pops, which the prosecution team said is the alleged shooting. However, the gun was never recovered and the shell casings had no fingerprints.
- Relli, whose real name is Terell Ephron, has filed a civil suit for assault, battery and emotional distress against Rocky, who has denied all claims. Relli claimed he was struck by bullet fragments after the argument and sought necessary medical attention.
