Overview

• Chhina had landed at Delhi International Airport Tuesday night after attending an overseas conference and was en route to Ludhiana early Wednesday when her SUV collided with highway barricades near Khanauri.
• She sustained facial, jaw, rib and leg injuries that required 45 stitches and remains in stable condition.
• Her husband suffered a minor leg injury and her security officer injured his hand while her son and the driver emerged unscathed.
• All occupants received initial care at a Kaithal private hospital before resuming their journey to Ludhiana for further assessment.
• Punjab-Haryana border police attributed the accident to a loss of control by the driver and reported no life-threatening injuries.
