- Thackeray wrote to Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on Friday asking that the State Service Mains scheduled for October be deferred until the V. Radha panel submits its report and its recommendations are put into practice.
- He also requested age relaxation for candidates who could lose an attempt or become ineligible because of any delay and asked that the MPSC chairman be asked to resign for alleged lapses.
- The V. Radha committee was set up this month to recommend comprehensive reforms and has collected more than 20,000 representations from aspirants and stakeholders while it tours the state.
