A7 in Hamburg and A99 Near Munich to Close This Weekend for Construction

Officials warn of major delays from A7 tunnel-control testing in Hamburg plus an A99 resurfacing shutdown near Munich.

Overview

  • The A7 will be fully closed in both directions between HamburgStellingen (AS 26) and HamburgHeimfeld (AS 32) from Friday, 7 November, 22:00 to Monday, 10 November, 05:00.
  • Closures on the A7 support the K20 Hochstraße Elbmarsch project with new sign gantries, tests to connect the Elbtunnel’s tunnel control center, and additional maintenance tasks.
  • Ramps along the A7 corridor begin shutting from 21:00 Friday, heavy and oversize transports cannot pass the section, and wide detours are signposted for long‑distance traffic.
  • The A99 will be closed in the Lindau direction between Autobahndreieck München‑Allach and the Tunnel Aubing from Friday, 7 November, 20:00 to Sunday, 9 November, 20:00 for round‑the‑clock renewal of the noise‑reducing pavement.
  • Authorities advise avoiding nonessential trips and using public transport, with Hamburg preparing measures for Saturday’s HSV–Dortmund match and the A99 works carrying a weather contingency that could shift them to 14–16 November.
