Overview

• Police, the Belastingdienst, RDW and Douane ran a large traffic control between Hoogkerk and Leek, using an ANPR camera from Hoogkerk to flag cases for inspection in Leek.
• At least one vehicle was seized, fines were issued and several cars were taken off the road, with the checks set to continue into the evening.
• A separate jam formed near Hoogkerk where the left lane was closed for an emergency repair and there was also a crash, leading to about five kilometers of stationary traffic reported at 20:30.
• Rijkswaterstaat says the Euvelgunnerbrug malfunction is resolved and a solution is being tested, road traffic should no longer face delays and the bridge remains closed for shipping.
• In Nijmegen, a water search was launched and then suspended after about an hour with no person found, and police confirmed seven arrests tied to a protest against an asylum center in Doetinchem.
