Overview

• The collision occurred around 11:00 a.m. Sunday on the northbound left lane when sudden braking led to successive rear-end impacts among three cars.
• Five occupants suffered light injuries and a 79-year-old man was seriously injured but not in life-threatening condition, according to police.
