- Autobahn GmbH expects the full closure to last until Monday at 5:00 a.m.
- Drivers faced about 40 minutes of additional travel time, according to the traffic control center.
- Queues reached roughly eight kilometers on the A1 toward Hannover/Bremen up to Hamburg-Stillhorn and about two kilometers on the A7 near Hamburg-Stellingen.
- Long-distance traffic is being rerouted between Maschener Kreuz and the A7 junction Neumünster-Süd via the A1, A21 and B205, with further delays reported on the A21 near Leezen and near Bad Segeberg.
- ADAC announced three more full Elbtunnel closures this year: October 17–20, November 7–10 and December 5–8.
