A671 Mainbrücke Hochheim Closes This Weekend With Wide Detours in Place

The work is preparatory to a spring 2026 replacement of the bridge’s expansion joints, with Autobahn GmbH to announce the exact timetable separately.

Overview

  • The A671 over the Mainbrücke Hochheim will be fully closed from 10 p.m. Friday, January 16, to the early hours of Monday, January 19, between the Hochheim Süd and Gustavsburg junctions.
  • A second full closure of the same stretch is scheduled from January 23 to January 26.
  • For traffic toward Darmstadt, the detour starts at Schiersteiner Kreuz via the A643, A60 and A67, with additional routes from Wiesbadener Kreuz via the A3 and A67 and from Wiesbaden-Erbenheim via the A66.
  • For traffic toward Wiesbaden, vehicles are redirected from Rüsselsheimer Dreieck via the A3, with alternatives from Mainspitz-Dreieck via the A60 and A643 or via the A60, A67 and A3.
  • These closures are part of maintenance preparations ahead of the expansion-joint replacement planned for spring 2026, with final scheduling to be communicated later.
