A3 to Close Fully on August 1–4 for Gantry Installation, Resurfacing

The weekend shutdown forms part of the multi-phase Wisley Interchange upgrade programme following confirmation of gantry installations, resurfacing work, future weekend closures through September

Overview

  • National Highways will shut the A3 in both directions between Junction 10 Wisley Interchange and the B2215/A247 at Send from 9 pm on Friday, August 1 until 6 am on Monday, August 4.
  • The closure enables installation of multiple gantries and full carriageway resurfacing under the ongoing Wisley Interchange improvement scheme.
  • Drivers must follow official main and non-motorway diversion routes via the M25, A243, A24, A246 and A247 corridors for southbound and northbound traffic.
  • All confirmed weekend closures on the A3 through September have been published, including at least one further shutdown planned for mid-September.
  • National Highways will publish detailed diversion maps and local travel advice online ahead of each weekend closure to help motorists plan their journeys.
