- Autobahn GmbH reopened the A3 between Kreuz Oberhausen-West and Kreuz Breitscheid early Monday after a planned full closure that began November 7.
- Traffic flow improved on Monday morning compared with the diversion period, though queues persisted with about 8 kilometers of slow traffic on the A3 and 6 kilometers on the A59 toward Düsseldorf.
- ADAC data show 167 hours of congestion from Monday to Thursday on diversion routes A42, A59 and A524 during the closure versus 74 hours the week before.
- The A42 segment between Kreuz Duisburg-Nord and Kreuz Oberhausen-West saw nearly seven times more congestion than in the prior week, according to ADAC.
- The renovation at Kreuz Kaiserberg began in 2022, is planned to run roughly eight years, and serves around 130,000 vehicles daily with projections of 145,000 by 2030.
