A100 Night Closures and A70 Tunnel Shutdown Lead This Week’s Roadworks in Germany

Officials say night schedules with posted detours aim to limit delays.

Overview

  • Berlin’s A100 will be fully closed northbound from 21:00 to 05:00 on the nights of Oct. 7/8 through Oct. 9/10 between the Kurfürstendamm exit and the Spandauer Damm on-ramp, with all ramps in the segment shut and diversions signed.
  • The A70’s Tunnel Schwarzer Berg is closed toward Schweinfurt from Oct. 6 to 17 to renew lighting and the active guidance system, with two-way traffic reduced to one lane in the remaining tube and delays expected.
  • In Kassel, the left lane on Frankfurter Straße is closed in both directions at Heinrich-Heine-Straße through about Oct. 16 due to district-heating works, with full overnight closures scheduled on Oct. 13, 15 and 16 and a detour via Ludwig-Mond- and Tischbeinstraße.
  • Kassel’s Holländische Straße faces multiple restrictions in October, including a right-lane closure outbound near the Rewe market for asphalt renewal and an inbound right-lane closure at Mombachstraße from Oct. 13 to 17 for work on a lighting mast.
  • In Göttingen, Hannoversche Straße will be closed between Steinweg and Am Weendespring from Oct. 13 to 24 for EAM cable works, with city-designated detours via Steinweg, Ernst-Fahlbusch-Straße and Am Weendespring toward Bovenden and via Friedrich-Ebert-Straße, Wolfgang-Döring-Straße and Karl-Grüneklee-Straße toward the center.
