Overview
- On July 15 a family Fiat Panda stalled inside the Base tunnel on the A1 motorway near Barberino di Mugello and was struck from behind by a truck unable to brake in time
- Grandparents Mauro Visconti (69), Zoila Basulto (65) and aunt Stephany Visconti (38) died on impact, while Silvana Visconti and her four-year-old daughter Summer were airlifted to Careggi and Meyer hospitals
