‘A Different World’ Cast Reunites for HBCU Tour

The beloved sitcom's cast embarks on a 10-city tour to raise awareness and funds for historically Black colleges and universities.

The cast of ‘A Different World,’ including original members Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Dawnn Lewis, and Darryl M. Bell, will kick off their 10-city HBCU tour in Atlanta on February 29.
The tour aims to raise awareness and enrollment for HBCUs nationwide, leveraging the cultural impact of the sitcom to inspire a new generation.
Event coordinators announced that the tour will also raise money for scholarships, ensuring more students can access the transformative experience of HBCUs.
The tour will feature panels and other events, with stops in cities including Washington, D.C., and Montgomery, Alabama, with more locations to be announced.
‘A Different World’ is credited with inspiring many Black students to attend HBCUs during its run from 1987 to 1993.
