- During a thunderstorm on June 23 in Green Bay, a branch from a neighbor’s tree fell on 9-year-old Rose Elizabeth Hendricks as she returned home with her mother and brother
- Neighbors attempted to lift the tree and first responders later used a floor jack to free Rose, who was conscious but critically injured at the scene
- Rose was taken to St. Vincent Hospital and died around 10:15 p.m. after six hours of treatment for traumatic injuries
