85-Year-Old Driver Killed and Two Critically Injured in A44 Crash

Thames Valley Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for dash-cam footage to reconstruct how the A44 crash unfolded.

Overview

  • At about 3:20 pm on July 10, a grey Audi A3, a grey Jaguar XE, a black Ford Puma and a grey Seat Leon collided on the A44 between Enstone and London Road near Chipping Norton.
  • The 85-year-old man driving the Ford Puma died at the scene, and his next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers.
  • A man in his 60s driving the Audi A3 and a woman in her 70s in the Ford Puma remain hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
  • The Jaguar XE driver, a man in his 60s, suffered minor injuries and has since been discharged from hospital care.
