Overview

- First responders removed the sole occupant from the car and immediately began resuscitation efforts.
- Shortly after the rescue, the vehicle ignited and was soon fully ablaze, according to police.
- The man from Berchtesgadener Land died at the scene despite CPR by emergency crews.
- A total of 72 personnel, including volunteer fire brigades, BRK teams, an emergency doctor, ambulance crews, HIT Traunstein, district fire inspectors and a rescue helicopter, responded, and the road was closed for about three and a half hours.
