83-Year-Old Woman Fatally Stabbed in Herzliya Terror Attack

A Palestinian assailant, previously a Shin Bet informant, was apprehended after stabbing the victim outside her nursing home in central Israel.

Ludmila Lipovsky, 83, was attacked outside her nursing home on Kedoshi Hashoah Street in Herzliya while waiting for a ride to a doctor’s appointment.
The attacker, identified as 28-year-old Ibrahim Shalhoub from Tulkarem in the West Bank, had a history of administrative detention and prior security offenses.
Security guards from the Israel Postal Company neutralized the assailant by shooting him in the lower body, and he was subsequently arrested by police.
The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) confirmed that the attacker was a former informant who had been transferred to Israel for safety after his cover was exposed.
The incident is being investigated as a terrorist attack, with police and Shin Bet teams conducting further inquiries into the suspect and circumstances.
