83-year-old Donald Bennett, previously convicted for a series of bank robberies, has been arrested again for a new series of heists in the Chicago area.
Bennett, known as the 'leaping bandit' from his earlier crimes, was caught after a Valentine's Day robbery at a Chase Bank.
Authorities linked Bennett and his accomplice, Edward Binert, to at least seven robberies, using their real names to rent getaway cars.
Bennett and Binert met in federal prison in 2006 and have been charged with armed robbery.
Investigators found evidence including weapons, wigs, and stolen money at Binert's home.
