  • The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), the previous voting body of the Golden Globes, was dissolved following a scandal over alleged corruption and systemic racism, with the awards now being overseen by Dick Clark Productions.
  • The 2024 Golden Globes will feature two new awards categories: Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures, and Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television.
  • Several nominees have the potential to make history, including Lily Gladstone, who could become the first Indigenous person to win Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama, and Dame Helen Mirren, who could become the oldest woman to ever win Best Drama Series Actress at age 78.
  • The ceremony will be broadcasted on CBS, with online streaming available on the CBS app and Paramount+.
