8 Injured as Metrolink Train Hits Stationary Train at L.A. Union Station

Overview

  • Ventura County Line Train 104 collided with an empty Metrolink train at a Union Station platform around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
  • The arriving train carried 85 passengers, with one person hospitalized and six passengers plus the conductor reporting minor injuries.
  • Metrolink’s safety, security and compliance department is leading the probe, and no cause has been released.
