76ers Sign Lonnie Walker IV to Two-Year Contract

The former Celtics preseason player joins Philadelphia after a stint in the EuroLeague.

Lonnie Walker IV has signed a two-year, $3 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, returning to the NBA after playing for Zalgiris Kaunas in the EuroLeague.
Walker, a 26-year-old guard, was previously waived by the Boston Celtics during the 2024-25 preseason after signing an Exhibit 10 deal and participating in training camp.
Known for his scoring ability, Walker averaged 13.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 19 EuroLeague games this season, utilizing a buyout clause to rejoin the NBA.
Philadelphia, currently tied for 11th in the Eastern Conference standings, is seeking to bolster its roster with Walker’s athleticism and scoring potential as it aims to improve its offensive rating and playoff hopes.
Walker’s addition comes as the 76ers face injuries and underperformance, positioning him for a potentially significant role under coach Nick Nurse.
