• It is alleged the man produced a knife and assaulted the woman.
• St John WA treated the victim at the scene before transporting her to Royal Perth Hospital.
• Officers found the 76-year-old nearby and took him into custody.
• He was charged with causing bodily harm with intent, refused bail, and is due in Armadale Magistrates Court today.
