73-Year-Old Man Dies After Falling from Window During Manhattan Home Invasion

Jacinto Remigio fell from his sixth-floor apartment while attempting to escape intruders who had tied up his son and stolen valuables.

The incident occurred early Saturday morning in Washington Heights, Manhattan, when three burglars broke into Jacinto Remigio's apartment.
One intruder entered through a fire escape window, allowing two accomplices to enter through the front door.
The burglars tied up Remigio's 40-year-old son and stole an $8,000 gold chain, $200 in cash, and a cell phone.
Remigio, 73, fell from a sixth-floor window onto scaffolding while reportedly trying to flee the scene and was later pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital.
The NYPD is investigating the case and searching for the three suspects, who were captured on surveillance footage entering the building.
