70-Year-Old Woman Admits Causing Death of Baby in Hospital Crash

Bridget Curtis pleads guilty to dangerous driving that led to the death of eight-month-old Mabli Cariad Hall in June 2023.

Mabli Cariad Hall, an eight-month-old baby, died from severe brain injuries after her pram was struck by a car outside Withybush Hospital in Pembrokeshire.
Bridget Curtis, 70, from Begelly, Pembrokeshire, pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving at Swansea Crown Court.
Mabli was airlifted to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff and later transferred to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, where she died four days after the incident.
The sentencing for Curtis is scheduled for November 22, and she has been granted unconditional bail until then.
Mabli's family, who are still coming to terms with the tragedy, expressed their heartbreak and gratitude for the support they received following her death.
