69-Year-Old Man Arrested for Stabbing at Texas Gym Over Equipment Dispute

- The altercation took place at the LA Fitness located at 2020 West Anderson Lane in North Austin, where Makinson reportedly told the victim to use another machine before the stabbing occurred.
- Following the incident, the victim required a blood transfusion due to the severity of the stab wound, which nearly reached muscle tissue.
- Makinson, who has a prior conviction for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in 2012, is currently being held at the Travis County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
- The weapon used in the stabbing was found in a parking lot adjacent to the gym, and Makinson was arrested shortly after the incident, telling officers, "I just got out of prison for this."
