The SHA said that the claims submitted by empanelled hospitals are processed by a team of 50 doctors through the NHA’s online platform.

Overview

  • Approximately 650 empanelled private hospitals suspended cashless services under AB-PMJAY from August 7 over unresolved reimbursements
  • The Indian Medical Association, Haryana, estimates pending claims at around Rs 490–500 crore
  • The Haryana State Health Agency said it received its Q2 budget on August 4 and has initiated first-in-first-out payments for claims submitted up to early May
  • Hospitals allege the state has recurrently under-funded quarterly budgets and removed an MoU clause for interest on delayed payments, leading to unjustified deductions
  • The suspension jeopardises access to the scheme’s Rs 5 lakh annual coverage for more than 1.3 crore economically vulnerable families
